Cumin is a spice that comes from the Cuminum cyminum plant. It is native to Asia, Africa and Europe. In India, it is mainly grown as a Rabi Crop mainly in Rajasthan and Gujrat. The sowing of Cumin takes place from October to November and harvesting is done during February and March.
