Jowar
Jowar is one of India's major cereal crops. India is the second-largest producer of jowar in the world. This crop is ideally suited for semi-arid agro climatic regions of the country and it gives reasonably good yield with minimal requirement of irrigation and fertilizers. The major jowar producing states are Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh (the Bundelkhand region) and Tamil Nadu.
