Wheat is the second most important cereal crop of India after Rice and plays a vital role in the food and nutritional security of the country. Major wheat-growing states in India are Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar and Gujarat.
